These are so handy to keep in your car or diaper bag and purse I am always on the go and sometimes I do not notice that my phone is going dead until i am out of the car and really want to take a photo or use my phone. I just plus my phone into it and it charges while it is in my bag and when I need it its all ready for use. It is not a instant charger but this is a great item to have especially on vacation when I will be taking alot of photos and videos. Along one side is an LED. It glows red when it is recharging the battery pack and the light goes off when charging is complete. It glows blue when charging another device and turns off when charging is complete. FYI: The included manual cautions against charging the +LIFEGUARD MINI and another device at the same time.
